National Digital Scrapbooking Day. The History.

So, what exactly is National Digital Scrapbooking Day anyway?   I did a little research…

Digital Scrapbooking Day, celebrated the first Saturday in November, celebrates all that today’s technology can do to help preserve your precious memories.  (You know that makes my geeky heart sing!)

Digital Scrapbooking Day was first established by Triscape, Inc. (Triscape, Inc. specializes in graphics software) in 2007 to create awareness for digital scrapbooking – not only as a creative way to document and display memories, but also as a means to archive photos and memorabilia safely. Digital Scrapbooking Day (DSD) is intended to act as a catalyst to set aside some time, at least annually,  to digitally documenting your personal history.

Check out the National Digital Scrapbook Day Facebook Page for more information.

To celebrate, we have FREE stuff for you!

Lisa J. at My Memories Suite is giving away 5 FREE copies of My Memories Digital Scrapbooking Software AND 5 $20 shopping sprees for any StoryRock Designs in the My Memories Suite Design Shop.

Here’s how to enter. Comment below letting us know why you love digital scrapbooking.  If you are not a digital scrapbooker tell us why not.  We will announce the winner tomorrow.

Tomorrow we will also have some FREE digital designs for you to download.

I like to scrap with my Mom. She showed me how to digitally scrap and I do it all on my own now! I like picking out my background papers and I like all the fun things I can do to my pictures. I have the coolest scrapbooks and it would be pretty cool if I could win my own copy of My Memories Suite!

Guys can scrapbook too! I really enjoy it and I’d like to say it’s not just a “woman’s hobby”. I truly enjoy taking pictures of my family and I enjoy spending time scrapping these pictures with my wife. Thanks for the chance to win!

I love digital scrapbooking! It’s so easy and I like how I can scrap anywhere I take my laptop. Try THAT with a huge bag of supplies…I even go to Panera and use their free Wi-Fi to check on papers and kits online!

I LOVE digital scrapping! Trying to get my sister-in-law to bite – I know she would love it too! Never thought I would be able to do much scrapping until I discovered digital (Thank you Mary) and now I forget to do other things some days!

I love digital scraping because I can work on it around my little kids. I also like that it is portable on my laptop. It’s great to make multiple copies of one page so everyone can have their own without starting completely over. Just import the page, tweek it a little for that child and you are done. My husband likes that it saves me money too!

I like it because I live in a small house and I don’t have room to spread out. I also like it because you can use your supplies over and over and because it is fun! Thanks for the chance to win.
